Belle Meade Tennesee

Belle Meade is an incorporated municipality within the city of Nashville TN but maintains an independent city status as well. It has its own police force, mayor and city hall. Streets have distinct signage and Belle Meade is where Al Gore makes his home.

Belle Meade is also home of the historic Belle Meade Plantation, a 30 acre site and home to the Belle Meade Mansion built in 1853. It was owned by the Harding-Jackson family for five generations from 1807 - 1906. The farm, one of the largest in Nashville, was a place for breeding and training championship thoroughbred race horses. Today Belle Meade Plantation is the source of tourism, weddings and other special events.

Located minutes from Green Hills, Vanderbilt, Hillsboro Village, West End and Downtown Nashville, you would never guess you're in the city with the beautiful land, sidewalks and luscious trees. It is truly a neighborhood with character and much history. Belle Meade is about 3.1 miles of area.
